By the end of the course, participants will be have:

  • Developed strategies for embedding assessments into their everyday practice.

Audience:
Anyone who is involved in conducting assessments of any type in order to ascertain the relevant level of need  for children, young people and families. This course is suitable for individuals  who work across early help, targeted family support and children’s social care.

Cost and Booking:

£100 per place on the session (£75 for Voluntary and Community Organisations).  

Alternatively we can deliver a bespoke session for your organisation for up to 16 people starting from £650 per day.

Ngage Assessment Tool

Aims

  • To develop a clear understanding of how to use Ngage to positively work with young people in exploring how a range of issues affect their life.

Learning Outcomes

  • To look at the purpose of Ngage and explore how it can be used with young people to successfully engage them in the assessment process
  • To explore good techniques for engaging with young people around sensitive issues
  • To be confident in being able to complete a 'first line safeguarding' assessment with young people
  • To be aware of the diversity of the tool and how it can be adapted to be used in different settings
  • To be confident about information sharing and confidentiality, be clear about how to record the information and how to use the action plan.
 

Cost:
£120 per place on the session (includes a £60 Ngage Toolkit to keep).
